Bulk carrier loses power, goes adrift off British Columbia

(KITIMAT, British Columbia) — A 188-meter bulk carrier lost propulsion and went adrift for about three hours off British Columbia, the Vancouver Sun newspaper reported. The Portland-bound Tern Arrow drifted near Laredo Sound and Kitimat. The Bahamas-flagged ship re-established emergency power and sailed to open water.
