Ship operators concerned about Coast Guard anti-piracy deadline

(WASHINGTON) — Ship operators say they are concerned about the Coast Guard’s May 25 deadline to update vessel security plans, the Navy Times reported. Representatives from 10 ship owners met with Coast Guard officials this week to discuss the new anti-piracy directive. The Coast Guard says it doesn’t expect the deadline to cause problems.
