December 1, 2010, MetalCraft Marine Inc. of Kingston Ontario and Clayton New York, a designer/builder of high performance aluminum boats for Government markets has signed a long term agreement with Brunswick Commercial & Government Products of Edgewater Florida. NYSE-BC. Under the deal MetalCraft Marine will design a series of aluminum patrol boats to be called the Sentry. This will expand the Brunswick line of commercial & government patrol boats extensively and open the aluminum boat market, which is a high growth segment, to them. Brunswick is an industry leader in fibreglass commercial boats with their Boston Whaler and Impact Rigid Inflatable lines.
MetalCraft Marine will also represent the BCGP line in Canadian Government markets expanding their market breadth in Canada. MCM has been designing and building high speed aluminum fire/rescue, patrol and work boats in Kingston Ontario since 1987.
MetalCraft Marine was awarded the prestigious “Boat of the Year†for the 2nd year in a row from WorkBoat magazine at the International WorkBoat Show in New Orleans, LA December 1, 2010 for their design and craftsmanship of the FireStorm 70 fire boat built for Jacksonville Fire/Rescue in Florida. In 2009 the award was for the FireStorm 69 fire built for Tampa Fire/Rescue. MetalCraft also won the award in 2002 and 1999. This marks a major achievement for the Canadian based company.
