Bollinger delivers fourth 4000 Class PSV, Grand Slam, to Ridgon Marine

(HOUSTON, TX – December 11, 2007) Grand Slam, the fourth in a series of ten 4000 Class PVS, has been delivered to Rigdon Marine Corporation (RMC) by Bollinger Shipyards in Lockport, Louisiana.

Grand Slam is a 190-foot x 46-foot x 18-foot, diesel electric, DP-2 PSV, which features a capacity of 4,000 barrels of liquid mud in an oval, self cleaning, segregated tank system. The PSV will also include three Z-Drives and two large forward tunnel thrusters.

The vessel was christened the day before the Rigdon 4000 Class PSV was named a ‘Significant Boat of 2007’ at the WorkBoat Trade Show in New Orleans, Louisiana.

“We are very proud of the accolades our vessels continue to receive for their innovative design, fuel savings, and cargo capacities,” said Billy Guice, Vice President of Marketing and Sales.

The Rigdon 4000 Class PSVs are capable of serving a wide array of marine applications in all water depths.  Sister vessels have already successfully tackled jack-up drilling, deepwater drilling, deepwater production and ROV survey support roles.

The remaining 6 Rigdon 4000 class PSVs will be delivered in approximate forty-five day intervals through the third quarter of 2008.
