New small-vessel cruise line to debut in Alaska’s Inside Passage

(KETCHIKAN, Alaska) — A new small-vessel cruise line will sail on wilderness-oriented voyages of Alaska’s Inside Passage starting in 2011, USA Today reported on its Cruise Log blog. InnerSea Discoveries, operated by the owner of American Safari Cruises, has purchased the out-of-service ships Wilderness Discoverer and Wilderness Adventurer. The cruises between Ketchikan and Juneau will specialize in exploring remote inlets and fjords, with no port calls.
