Navicom Dynamics names Elcome International as reseller of portable pilot units

(DUBAI, United Arab Emirates) — Elcome International, the leading marine solutions provider and system integrator in the Middle East and one of the world’s largest marine technology suppliers, has signed a reseller agreement with Navicom Dynamics, which is a global leader in precision portable navigation.

Under the agreement, Elcome will have responsibility for sales and support of Navicom’s portable pilot navigation systems and electronic navigation charts in UAE, Bahrain, Egypt, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka.

Based in Auckland, New Zealand, Navicom Dynamics specializes in precision orientation technology and monitoring systems for maritime pilots. The company’s product line includes HarbourPilot, a portable pilot unit fully independent of ship’s systems which offers exceptional accuracy in complex maneuvers; ShuttlePilot, a fully customizable aid for relative positioning operations and buoy moorings in the offshore industry; ChannelPilot, a portable pilot unit which offers independent positioning, COG and ROT in channel navigation and some restricted maneuvering, and GyroPilot, an AIS-based portable pilot unit which adds ROT and smoothed HDG to pilot plug data with GPS fall-back.
