Icom’s M605 wins excellence award for fourth year in a row
(KIRKLAND, Wash.) — At this year’s virtual 2020 NMEA Marine Electronics Conference and Expo, the marine industry once again honored several top products and manufacturers. One of those top products was Icom’s M605 VHF marine transceiver, for the fourth year in a row.
The M605 has a 4.3-inch LCD color display with a near 180-degree viewing angle, allowing for the highest visibility. But the M605 is not just a radio – it is an onboard communications system that allows smooth operation essentially anywhere on the vessel. By being able to remotely control up to three controllers with the HM-195 series COMMANDMIC, the M605 gives boaters flexibility and never have to be tied to one station again.
Many common things we rely on come in fours: four suits in a deck, four seasons, four elements, the cardinal directions. And this fourth win is by no means pedestrian or commonplace. In today’s fast-paced world of ever-evolving electronics, Icom has stood the test of time by continuing the tradition of forward thinking and innovation.
