Captain Eric Johansson, founder of SUNY Maritime College’s annual Towing Forum, said that the Towing Safety Advisory Council (TSAC), which normally holds its meeting in early September, was moved this year to October 19th, the same date as was scheduled for this year’s Towing Forum (Towing Column PM #150). Captain Johansson therefore decided to move the Towing Forum to the following week, Wednesday, October 26thâ€. “The focus of this year’s forum will be Subchapter M regulations and the new STCW proposals,†said Johansson.
