Corpus Christi RTA considers old ferry for summer service

(CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas) — Ocean House Charters proposes deploying a used ferry for its contracted Texas State Aquarium service, the Caller-Times newspaper reported. The contractor original told the Regional Transportation Authority it would provide a new vessel. Now Ocean House plans to use 17-year-old, 65-foot vessel that has been sitting unused at a Wisconsin drydock for years; the company promises to renovate the ferry in time for Memorial Day.
