Cargo ship goes adrift near San Francisco waterfront

(SAN FRANCISCO) — A 902-foot cargo ship lost power and began drifting in San Francisco Bay, KTVU News reported. The Williamsburg Bridge caused residents along the city’s waterfront to become alarmed, because the vessel came dangerously close to the shoreline at the end of Aquatic Pier. The Coast Guard said the ship is now safely at an anchorage.
