(VANCOUVER, British Columbia) — Robert Allan Ltd. (RAL) has announced that Dr. Michael Shives has earned his accreditation as a registered professional engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia.
Shives has been working with Robert Allan Ltd. since 2017 as a vessel simulation specialist and CFD analyst, where he has been involved in developing a 6-DOF motion simulator, CFD analysis, automation of standard analyses/report generation and many R&D activities.
He obtained a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Carleton University in 2008, then went on to complete masters and doctorate degrees at the University of Victoria in mechanical engineering. In his spare time, he enjoys outdoor adventure sports including rock climbing, mountain running and paddle-boarding.
