Mustang Survival merges with The WING Group

(BURNABY, British Columbia) — Mustang Survival, the North American brand known for innovative solutions for the most demanding marine environments, has announced its merger with California-based WING Group, a leading manufacturer of inflatable sponsons, small combat craft, whitewater rafting solutions, life rafts, and marine doors and windows.

“Joining with The WING Group lands Mustang Survival in a home totally focused on the marine and aviation industry and its users," said Mustang Survival General Manager Jason Leggatt.

The WING Group, led by President and CEO Andrew Branagh, has been expanding its core product offering and reach with acquisitions aligned to the “quality solutions” mission, and Mustang Survival represents an opportunity to engage directly with WING’s end consumers in terms of personal protective and performance equipment on the water.

“Mustang Survival has a rich history and authentic brand story that resonates with us and our consumers," said Branagh. “They are recognized as the leader in their field and deliver confidence to users in the harshest marine environments in the world. This merger presents a unique and strategic  growth opportunity for both sides, especially as we aim to deepen our suite of marine and over-water aviation products here in North America and around the world.”

Leggatt will be promoted to president of Mustang Survival and continue in his role of building a full-scale waterlife brand.
