Coast Guard Foundation names Marc Cregan new Northeast director

(STONINGTON, Conn.) — The Coast Guard Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to the education and welfare of all Coast Guard members and their families, has announced that Marc Cregan recently joined the foundation’s staff. In his new position as regional director for the Northeast, he will work closely with Coast Guard units in New England and New York to identify and fulfill education, morale and family support for Coast Guard members.
 
“We are so pleased Marc has joined the Coast Guard Foundation team,” said Susan Ludwig, president, Coast Guard Foundation. “For almost 50 years the foundation has built a core of support for the Coast Guard through the generosity of our donors. We look forward to Marc expanding our base in the vital and active Northeast area.”
 
Cregan brings more than 20 years of comprehensive fundraising, donor relations, leadership and volunteer board management experience to his role at the Coast Guard Foundation. In a variety of posts in the health care, education and nonprofit consulting fields, Cregan has consistently demonstrated his passion and dedication to the philanthropic organizations he represents. 
 
“I have spent two decades in fundraising, primarily for healthcare and educational institutions,” said Cregan. “I am honored to work toward the benefit of selfless and brave men and women of the United States Coast Guard as a member of the Coast Guard Foundation team.”
