(NORFOLK, Va.) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers commissioned its newest survey vessel, Ewell, on Thursday in Norfolk.
The 61-foot catamaran was designed by Technology Associates Inc. of New Orleans and built by Aluma Marine & Fabrication LLC of Harvey, La. The foil-assisted aluminum boat has a top speed of 32 knots and is owned and operated by the Corps' Norfolk District.
