American Institute of Marine Underwriters elects new officers

(NEW YORK) —The American Institute of Marine Underwriters (AIMU) elected the following slate of officers at its annual board of directors meeting on Nov. 15:

Michael McKenna of Navigators – chairman
Michael Csorba of Great American – vice chairman
Tony Cowie of Swiss Re – director of finances

The following three individuals were named to the Management Committee for a three-year term:

Gordon Lewis – Crum & Forster
Ryan O’Connor – Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty
Robert Ryan – Navigators

Les Bogdan of Berkley Offshore Underwriting Managers was presented with the 2018 AIMU Distinguished Service Award at the annual meeting.​​​​​​​

AIMU congratulates its new officers and extends a special thank you to Drew Feldman of CNA, whose successful two-year term as chairman of AIMU ended on Nov. 15.

The American Institute of Marine Underwriters, based in New York City, has more than 100 years of service as the trade association representing and promoting the United States ocean marine insurance industry as an advocate, educator and information resource.
