The following is the text of a news release from the National Maritime Center (NMC):
(MARTINSBURG, W.Va.) — Section 315 of the Coast Guard Authorization Act of 2015 requires the agency to make sample Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) examinations and an outline of examination topics readily available to the public.
The Coast Guard originally published the topics and sample exams on the National Maritime Center website in August 2016. It is our intent to refresh the sample exams annually. A new set of exams is being posted on the NMC website on or around Sept. 7. The sample exams and topic outlines can be found by selecting “Sample Exams” on the Examinations page of the website.
If you have questions or feedback regarding the sample exams, please contact the NMC by using the online chat or ticketing system, by e-mailing IASKNMC@uscg.mil, or by calling 1-888-IASKNMC (1-888-427-5662)Edit Module
