(WASHINGTON) — The U.S. Coast Guard has published updates to several Navigation and Vessel Inspection Circulars (NVICs) regarding guidelines on qualification for the following STCW endorsements:
• Master/chief mate 3,000 gt or more (NVIC 10-14, CH1)
• Master/chief mate 500 gt-3,000 gt (NVIC 11-14, CH1)
• OICNW 500 gt or more (NVIC 12-14, CH1)
• OICEW/DDE 750 kW/1,000 hp or more (NVIC 17-14, CH1)
