Washburn & Doughty plans expansion in Maine

(BRUNSWICK, Maine) — East Boothbay boatbuilder Washburn & Doughty is planning to move part of its manufacturing operation to the site of the former Navy air base in Brunswick, the Portland Press Herald reported. Washburn & Doughty intends to add four overhead cranes and modify a building at Brunswick Landing in the $1 million project. The company expects to create five welder positions and 10 other jobs.
