Pleasure boat, ferry collide in Washington (with VIDEO)

(VASHON ISLAND, Wash.) — A pleasure boat whose operator was reportedly below deck collided with a ferry on Sunday, The Seattle Times reported. The boat, named Nap Tyme, struck Chetzemoka, operated by Washington State Ferries, amidships on the port side. A WSF spokesman said the ferry captain followed all protocol when blaring warnings on the boat’s horn, and was even able to bring his vessel almost to a complete stop before the impact. No injuries were reported and the ferry, en route to Vashon Island from Port Defiance, was cleared for service 30 minutes later by the Coast Guard.
