Harvey Gulf completes first LNG refueling at new terminal

The following is the text of a news release from Offshore Shipping Online:

(PORT FOURCHON, La.) — Harvey Gulf International Marine has completed the first refueling at its new LNG facility at Port Fourchon.

The company transferred 43,000 gallons of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Harvey Energy, an LNG-feuled platform supply vessel.

"This a testament to Harvey Gulf’s commitment to promoting the use of LNG, a clean, abundant, and cost-effective alternative marine fuel,” said Harvey Gulf Chairman and CEO Shane Guidry. “With the completion of our LNG terminal at Port Fourchon, we are able to provide a LNG bunkering point at the epicenter of marine operations for the Gulf of Mexico, which is vital to continuing the shift to LNG as a marine fuel.”
