(NENANA, Alaska) — Ruby Marine has purchased Inland Barge Service and incorporated the company's equipment and staff into its fleet, Alaska Public Media reported. Inland Barge owner Charley Hnilicka said Ruby Marine will continue to offer the same services that Inland Barge did. While the companies have had a freight-sharing arrangement since Ruby Marine started in 2007, the financial implications of passing freight to someone else are now removed, he said.
