(TARRYTOWN, N.Y.) — A maintenance barge got stuck under the Tappan Zee Bridge during overnight storms but apparently did not damage the span or a replacement bridge under construction, Lohud.com reported. There have been at least three incidents when barges belonging to the bridge builder, Tappan Zee Constructors, have broken free at the construction site since September 2013. The barge in the latest incident did not belong to TZC but was used by the state Thruway Authority.
