Freighter stuck after grounding in Delaware River (with VIDEO)

(RIVERTON, N.J.) — A bulk carrier remained stuck Tuesday afternoon in the Delaware River after running aground early in the morning, the Burlington County Times reported. Nord Explorer, a 32,000-ton vessel registered in Panama, struck the river bottom about 4 a.m. Tuesday off the shore of Riverton near the Riverton Yacht Club. The incident is the second this month involving a cargo ship running aground in the area.
