Tug damages pier during Port Canaveral dredging

(PORT CANAVERAL, Fla.) — A tugboat involved in a dredging project struck a pier Sunday and caused $500,000 in damage, the Orlando Sentinel reported. Concrete from North Cargo Pier 2 sank to the bottom of the harbor and the port's North Cargo Pier No. 3 was also damaged. The harbor is being dredged to accommodate larger cruise and cargo ships.
