(WASHINGTON) — The Maritime Administration has announced the availability of a free, computer-based training course (CBT) on cyberthreats in the maritime environment. The DVD will assist vessel owners and operators, merchant mariner unions, maritime academies, and other maritime organizations with training U.S. mariners on best practices to reduce the risks and vulnerability associated with information systems and devices.
The CBT was developed through a cooperative agreement with the Ship Operations Cooperative Program (SOCP) and can be obtained by visiting the “Products” tab on their website: http://www.socp.us/
