(DRESBACH, Minn.) — A crewmember was killed when a towboat lost power and drifted over a dam in the Mississippi River, the Pioneer Press newspaper reported. The 22-year-old was aboard a Brennan Marine vessel when it capsized at Lock and Dam No. 7. High water and strong currents were also a factor, according to the company.
