ConocoPhillips decides to delay its plans to drill offshore in Alaska Arctic

(WASHINGTON) — ConocoPhillips now says it too is suspending its plans to drill for oil offshore in the Alaska Arctic next year, the New York Times reported. The company's announcement follows Royal Dutch Shell's decision not to drill in 2013 due to vessel problems. Conoco said regulatory uncertainty has prompted it own choice to delay the start of its plans until a further review is completed.
