(SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico) — The Coast Guard Captain of the Port of San Juan reopened the southern ports of Ponce, Salinas and Guayama, Puerto Rico Wednesday afternoon following the passing of Tropical Storm Chantal south of the island.

All the ports in Puerto Rico have resumed normal port operations under Port Condition Four except for the ports of Guanica, Guayanilla, Tallaboa and Mayaguez, which remain closed to inbound and outbound commercial vessel traffic until port assessments and safety checks are completed.
