Canadian ferry heading for repairs after grounding

(PORT AUX BASQUES, Newfoundland) — Underwater inspections have revealed that the ferry MV Blue Puttees sustained damage to its bulbous bow during a grounding Wednesday and must be repaired, The Telegram of St. John's reported. The ship's owner, Marine Atlantic, said Blue Puttees will sail for a dry dock in Halifax once it has been released by authorities. The company estimated that the vessel will be unavailable for service until late August.
