Tugs suddenly crossed bow of 902-foot APL Oman

(NEWPORT NEWS, Va.) -- A containership needed to drop anchor to avoid a collision with Navy tugboats, the Daily Press newspaper reported. The tugs were pulling a roll-on, roll-off ship at the time of the near-miss.
