Report: Nova Scotia barge grounded after towline parted

(PICTOU, Nova Scotia) — The barge that spilled lumber into the Northumberland Strait ran aground because a towline parted, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported. The Florence M was towing the Sault au Cochon when the barge broke loose and grounded on a sandbar. Crews are still working on removing the stuck vessel.
