Massachusetts officials approve key aspect of Cape Wind project

(BOSTON) — Massachusetts utility officials have approved the Cape Wind offshore energy project’s plan to sell power to National Grid, the Cape Cod Times newspaper reported. The Department of Public Utilities granted permission to sell the electricity generated from 130 wind turbines in Nantucket Sound. The ruling is considered a key victory for the wind company, but a few other approvals are still needed.
