KVH introduces Master Receiver Selector for TracVision Antennas

MIDDLETOWN, RI – Satellite TV subscribers on the move can now enjoy even greater convenience when it comes to watching the TV programming they enjoy thanks to the new KVH Master Receiver Selector, introduced today by KVH Industries, Inc., (Nasdaq: KVHI) This enhanced multiswitch for KVH’s award-winning TracVision ® satellite TV systems offers new features that customers have been asking for, including giving users the ability to choose which receiver will be the “master†capable of switching satellites at any time. This convenient new function makes watching satellite TV on a boat or RV more like watching at home than ever before. “We are constantly updating our products to offer more of the features our customers want, and the Master Receiver Selector is a great example of that,†says Jim George , KVH’s director of sales for satellite products. “Many TracVision owners have requested the ability to choose a ‘master’ receiver, so that they can easily switch satellites simply by changing channels using their remote control and whichever receiver and TV they are watching at that time. We’re excited to offer this powerful new functionality for all of our existing and new TracVision systems both in boats and recreational vehicles.†As an added benefit, KVH’s new Master Receiver Selector also ensures complete DISH Network® TurboHD compatibility for TracVision owners in the western half of the United States, whose viewing experience may be affected by upcoming changes to DISH Network’s broadcasts from the EchoStar 129° West satellite. These changes will affect many mobile satellite TV users, regardless of which manufacturer’s antenna they own. “In order to bring all customers the programming they demand, service providers like DISH Network occasionally make changes that require some adjustments for users, particularly those enjoying their entertainment on the water or on the road,†explains George. “We work closely with the satellite TV providers to understand the changes they intend to make. We are then able to offer our customers convenient solutions when these changes occur, so that they can continue to enjoy satellite TV on the go with TracVision.â€
