Georgia ports record first monthly increase in over a year

(SAVANNAH, Ga.) — The Georgia Ports Authority has posted its first monthly increase in more than a year, Georgia Public Broadcasting reported. The ports handled 1.7 percent more container volume in October versus a year earlier. It’s a sign that conditions may be improving, although quarterly volumes are still off 10 percent.
