(SEATTLE, WA — October 24, 2007) Crowley Maritime Corporation has announced organizational changes in its West Coast Marine Services group. The company’s operations and commercial responsibilities have been combined into one group under the leadership of Chris Peterson, vice president, West Coast services. Scott Hoggarth will act as the newly promoted general manager of ship assist and escort.
Peterson will now oversee all West Coast marine operations, contract services and ship assist and escort services. A 21-year Crowley veteran, Peterson most recently served as general manager, West Coast services. He joined Crowley in 1986 following his graduation from California Maritime Academy and has since served in several seagoing and shore side positions.
Hoggarth will report to Peterson under this new structure. He is now responsible for ship assist and escort services and West Coast contract services, which includes the tug dispatch function and the sales team. Hoggarth has been in the marine industry for 25 years and has spent 20 of those years at Crowley.
“Chris and Scott are experienced Crowley veterans with tremendous knowledge and leadership abilities,” said John Douglass, senior vice president and general manager of marine services. “We’re confident they will do well in our new structure, which will help us be even more customer focused.”
