Aluminum Chambered Boats reports healthy economic growth

Aluminum Chambered Boats (ACB), Inc. Bellingham, Washington (May12, 2009) –

Aluminum Chambered Boats is pleased to report that in these difficult economic times, the company’s strategy to streamline production and focus their attention on markets aspiring to ACB’s unique design has paid off. ACB posts record 1st quarter revenue, up 269% over prior year 1st qtr. sales and a $17 million backlog that creates steady work for its 86 employees.

ACB’s healthy economic growth is due in part to the success of the newest addition to their line of commercial products, the Law Enforcement Vessel (LEV) and the continued production of other existing government and commercial long term contracts.

“We honed and streamlined our production plant making it an extremely efficient operation. We were able to double our production capacity, and reduce the build time of most boats to 90-120 days. The past several months of economic upheaval have put a damper on some companies and their ability to fill custom boat orders. ACB is healthy and extremely well positioned to take on new customers and additional orders,†said ACB’s president Jim Moore.

The LEV models are designed to meet the needs of agencies nationwide on coastal and inland waterways and range in size from 21’-30’ in T-Top, Pilothouse (walkaround cabin), and Full Cabin models. All are ergonomically designed for single or multiple officer patrol with unobstructed 360 degree visibility and complete access to all equipment. These new models meet the growing industry trend toward aluminum, collared, patrol vessels.ACB’s unique “virtually unsinkable†aluminum hull design is equipped with an air or foam hybrid fendering system. These highperformance patrol vessels have several options that can be added to specifically meet the geographic and mission requirements of each customer.

A 26’ T-Top model, recently completed a successful marketing tour of 11 states where is was evaluated, sea trialed and tested by many state, municipal and county agencies, and was previewed at several marine law enforcement conferences including the Colorado River Law Enforcement Association (CRLEA), and the International Association of Marine Investigators (IAMI). A 21’ T-Top LEV will be one of ACB’s boats showcased at the Multi-Agency Crafts Conference (MACC) in Norfolk, VA in June and will be available for agencies to evaluate afterward.
