(SAN FRANCISCO) — The Maritime Administration has agreed to remove the so-called “Ghost Fleet” of mothballed ships from Suisun Bay, NBC Bay Area reported. The decaying vessels will undergo hazardous materials removal and will be sent to dry dock and then eventually to Texas to be recycled. The Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet will be entirely removed by 2017.
