Canada to use ROV to study HMS Investigator wreck (MAP)

(AULAVIK NATIONAL PARK, Northwest Territories) — Canadian archaeologists have discovered the wreck of the HMS Investigator, CTV reported. The British ship is historic because it explored and charted the western edge of the Northwest Passage 150 years ago. The wreckage was spotted in good condition near the shoreline of Mercy Bay, and researchers plan to send a remotely operated vehicle down to study it.
