Delaware River maritime officials worry about dredging site

(LOGAN TOWNSHIP, N.J.) — A real-estate developer has acquired the only propertly that currently accepts material from maitenance-dredging in the Delaware River, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported. Maritime officials worry that the developer will begin accepting New York-region and Raritan River dredge material there, too, hastening the advent of building on the site. A state legislator proposes reserving the site for Delaware River material.
