June 19, 2007—New Orleans, LA – Lee Jackson, President and CEO of Jackson Offshore LLC, a newly-established provider of high specification crewboat services in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico, announced the company’s recent certification as a minority business in the state of Louisiana.
Jackson Offshore was formed in part to provide dedicated crewboat services to major oil and offshore service companies wishing to contract with companies involved in the reinvestment and rejuvenation of southern Louisiana and especially New Orleans. The company is based in downtown New Orleans and is similarly dedicated to advancing minority participation in the US offshore marine industry.
In addition to Lee Jackson’s majority ownership, Jackson Offshore is also comprised of equity partners Rigdon Marine Corporation, a US Flag operator of next generation platform supply, fast supply and crewboat services, and BOURBON, a French conglomerate in the offshore industry. Both Rigdon Marine and BOURBON have been strong supporters in the rebuilding process of private enterprises along the Gulf Coast after the devastating hurricanes in 2005.
According to Larry Rigdon, CEO and Chairman of Rigdon Marine Corporation, “Lee Jackson, a River Pilot for the New Orleans-Baton Rouge Steamship Pilots Association and educated at some of the nation’s best maritime institutes, brings a wealth of marine experience to the newly formed company.”

Jackson Offshore owns the YELLOWFIN, a new 155-foot, 7,200 BHP crewboat operating under long term charter to a major oil and gas company in the US GOM. In addition, Jackson Offshore provides additional high specification tonnage to blue chip clients on a third party basis.
