Martinac to hire back workers as it starts building 2 more Navy tugs

(TACOMA, Wash.) — J.M. Martinac Shipbuilding has begun cutting steel for two more Navy tugboats, the News Tribune newspaper reported. The Tacoma shipyard recently finished two identical vessels. Now that it is building two more 90-foot, 3,600 hp boats worth $10 million each, management says it plans to hire back some workers.
