Tugboat sinks at mooring, spills fuel into St. Lawrence River

(TROIS-RIVIERES, Quebec) — Cleanup operations continued Monday after a tugboat sank at its mooring and spilled at least 22 metric tons of fuel into the St. Lawrence River, CBC News reported. A port authority spokesman said the boat's owner had been notified several times about the "precarious" condition of the vessel before it sank. No one was on board at the time of the incident.
