Glosten Associates promotes John Edgar to Vice President

The board of directors of The Glosten Associates, Inc. has elected John (Jay) Edgar, P.E., to Vice President effective January 1, 2010. He will continue to provide technical leadership and oversight as Director of Engineering, a role he has held since 2007, while assuming this new role as part of the firm’s on-going management transition. “This action by the board reflects our confidence in Jay’s increasing leadership role in the firm,” said William Hurley, President.

A principal in the firm’s naval architecture group, Mr. Edgar is a 1987 graduate of Webb Institute of Naval Architecture. In his 22 years with Glosten, he has been integral in the development of creative design solutions and incorporation of advanced analysis throughout the engineering process. He has been responsible for oversight and delivery of some of the firm’s largest and most complex projects including his recent role as Program Manager for Boeing’s Sea-Based X-Band Radar (SBX) Platform project for the U.S. Missile Defense Agency.
