(WASHINGTON) — The second officer of the Crown Princess told National Transportation Safety Board investigators that he erred when he turned the cruiseship to port, causing the vessel to heel. The officer disengaged autopilot after an instrument showed a sharp turn to port. Instead of turning the ship to starboard, the officer reported that he made an even sharper turn to port, according to a story by the Associated Press.
