Government agencies pass the buck on removing derelect vessels

(VICTORIA, British Columbia) — Communities find it difficult to find government agencies willing to take on the problem of derelict vessels, the Times Colonist newspaper reported. Various authorities tend to refer the cases to other entities instead of stepping in to force cleanup, community leaders say. One activist calls it a “ping-pong game.”
