Tug Cayuga pulled ashore as scrapping process begins (PHOTO)

(STILLWATER, Minn.) — Crews have taken a major step that will lead to the demise of the 80-year-old tugboat Cayuga, the Stillwater Gazette newspaper reported. Salvors moved the deteriorating vessel to the St. Croix’s shoreline and are removing fuel and hazardous materials. Later the city-owned will be pulled completely out of the river and will be scrapped.
