(BONITA SPRING, FL – APRIL 16, 2008) – David J. Lester, Managing Partner of Expoships LLLP, announced the appointment of Roderick Jacobs as Chief Executive Officer. “He will be a tremendous asset to our rapidly expanding organization,” said Lester.
Jacobs served as a senior executive with the over $20 billion Compass Group for more than 15 years. The 43 year-old Dutch native is a graduate of the International University of Hospitality Management The Hague in the Netherlands.
“Directing a very large division of the largest hospitality firm in the world, Mr. Jacobs clearly demonstrated the management skills necessary to guide our unique operation. We are extremely pleased to have an executive with such an exceptional proven track record at the helm of this extraordinary new project,” said Expoships Managing Partner, Lee Ann Lester.
Jacobs’ initial focus will be on the summer launch of Expoships flagship, Seafair, showcasing not only art, but also the finest in luxury goods.
Jacobs will assume responsibilities for the company’s operations commencing May 1, 2008.
